Jeanette Zobel

Jeanette A. Zobel, 97 of Waite Park, MN, formerly of Albert Lea. passed away Monday, June 1st, 2020 at the Saint Cloud Hospital. Jeanette was born September 8th, 1922 in Albert Lea, MN to Andrew and Jensina (Bothum) Tufte and was baptized at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. She married Leo Zobel on May 17th, 1942 and they were blessed with two children, Julie and Steve.

She worked for 10 years as a maid at the Bel Aire and Countryside Motels. Jeanette was also a proud Auxiliary member of both the Eagles and the American Legion. Folks may have seen her out on the dance floor, in the bowling alley or out causing trouble around town. She had recently been living in the St. Cloud area to be near her daughter.

Jeanette is survived by her children, Julie (Donald) Skue of St. Cloud, MN and Steve Zobel of Louisburg, NC; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, three brothers Oscar, Ben and Peter Tufte and two sisters Pearl and Mildred.

Private family services with interment at Hillcrest Cemetery. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.
