Jean Mattingly

Memorial services for Jean Ann Mattingly of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea. Pastor Don Malinsky will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Jean died Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Mayo Health Systems in Albert Lea. She was 87 years of age. Jean was born July 13, 1930 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Richard and Martha (Everson) Parry. She graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1948 and was united in marriage to DeVern Mattingly on September 7, 1952 in Albert Lea. Jean was an active member of the United Methodist Church and had been employed at Halvorson and Ramsey schools in Albert Lea first in food service and then retiring as a media clerk in the library. She enjoyed reading, sewing and working with the children in the public schools. The best times were spent with her family and grandchildren. Jean is survived by her children Lisa (Bruce Sorensen) Mattingly of Rochester, MN, Mark (Diane) Mattingly of Plum City, WI, grandson Ryan (Taylor) Mattingly and their daughter Addison and grandson Aaron Mattingly. Numerous decedents living and deceased lived in England and Wales. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
