Janet Kay White, age 73, passed away peacefully at the Mayo Clinic Health Center in Albert Lea on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Born on August 24, 1941 in Austin, Minnesota to Florence and Jesse Havens, she grew up in Ely, Minnesota and attended Ely High School. Janet has lived in Ely, Clarks Grove, and Albert Lea, Minnesota as well as in Colorado, California, Kentucky, and South Carolina. Janet was an entrepreneur, traveled extensively, and always enjoyed an active social life.
Janet had four children with her first husband, Roger Anderson, and two children with her second husband, Ron Givler. Janet is survived by her children, Diane (Bill) Deblon of Blue Earth, MN, Linda Anderson (Kathi Gebhardt) of Fort Atkinson, WI, Connie (Jim) Hughes of Merrill, WI, Kevin Anderson of Arvada, CO, Pamela Roberts (Dan Schmidt) of Albert Lea, MN, Shawn (Rebecca) Givler of Middleton, WI; grandchildren, Christopher Blazek, Joshua Deblon, Maria Deblon, Zachary Deblon, Jon (Kimberly) Hughes, Samantha (Chris) Nelson, Rachel (Roger) St. Vincent, Ethan Anderson, Tara (Jesse) Stirling, Tatum Roberts, Toni Roberts, Taylor Roberts, Tanelle Roberts, Gabriel Givler, Grace Givler, Genesis Givler; two great-grandchildren and two on the way; siblings, Beverly Ann Howell, Jess Havens, Eulala O'Donnell, Mary Ellen Havens, Elaine Koester; and aunt Arleen Schnorenberg.
Janet is preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Florence; grandson, Ryan Hughes; and sisters, Barbara Jean Howden and Margaret Cusey.
A private family ceremony will be held with a burial in Ely, Minnesota at a later date.
