Memorial services for James A. Follmuth of New Richland, MN, will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, October 20, 2014 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 4 until 7 PM at the Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Glenville, MN.
James died Thursday, October 16, 2014 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Center. He was 61 years of age.
James was born June 2, 1953 in Albert Lea, MN, the son of Berton and Marion (Cragg) Follmuth. He was a graduate of Glenville High School. James had been employed by the DME, Rock Island Railroad as an engineer for over 30 years. He had spent most of his life in Freeborn County and the past 23 years in New Richland.
James enjoyed farming and fixing farm equipment, puzzle's and anything to do with maintenance.
He is survived by his mother Marion Follmuth of Glenville, MN, sons Patrick (Dawn) Follmuth of Minooka, IL, and James Follmuth of Waseca, MN, one daughter Amanda Follmuth of Albert Lea, MN, and grandson Roman Banks.
Brothers and sisters include; Paul (Cindy) Follmuth of Northwood, MN, Michael (Jan) Follmuth of San Diego, CA, Peter (Mary Jo) Follmuth of Austin, MN, Mary (John) Tenold of Northwood, IA, Pamela (Scott) Tovar of Albert Lea, MN, Patricia Crane of Maple Grove, MN, and lifetime friend, Laurie. There are numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his Father Berton, brother Greg, brother in law Richard Crane and nephew Matthew Follmuth.
