Hubert died after a short struggle with cancer on Friday, July 17, 2009 at the age of 86. He was born on March 29, 1923, in
After retiring, Hube built himself a woodwork shop.
It was here that his passion came to life.
He made furniture, built sheds and handcrafted many beautiful things for family and friends.
Hube was a member of the American Legion for more than 60 years, having served a term as commander. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church where he actively volunteered in many capacities, including serving as cemetery sexton for more than 18 years.
In addition to spending time visiting with friends and playing cards, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and anything that kept him in the great outdoors. Hube had an inquisitive mind and learning was a lifelong journey for him.
He will be greatly missed by his wife of 60 years, Irene, four children:
Sister Jeanne Marie Lust O.S.B. of St. Joseph, MN, Katherine Lust of Minneapolis, MN, Gary Lust of New Richland, Lisa Lust of Plymouth, MN and many other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Walter Morton, Virgil Lust, Freeman Lust, William Lust, David Lust and a sister Oleta (Joanne Hagstrom).
Hubert had a very generous, fun loving spirit and he will be greatly missed and
fondly remembered.
