Funeral Services for Helen Harriet Lykken, of Albert Lea will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, March 2, 2015, at St. John's Lutheran Home Chapel in Albert Lea. The Reverend Janet White will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before services at St. John's Lutheran Chapel. Helen died on Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Home. She was 95.
Helen was born on January 12, 1920, in Wyoming, Minnesota the daughter of John and Lizzi(Christenson) Schreiber. Helen was the only one left of the twelve Schreiber children. Helen graduated from Albert Lea High School with the class of 1939. After graduation, she went to Minneapolis where she found employment and married Emil Lykken. After working and living in Minneapolis, she and her husband retired and moved to Albert Lea. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Helen loved sports of all kinds, participating and watching. She loved playing softball and fishing.
She is survived by her husband Emil, many nieces, nephews, and a sister-in-law .
