Remembering the life of Harvey L. Denzer......
The Memorial Service for Harvey L. Denzer, of Glenville will be held at 1:00 P.M.
on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.
The Reverend David Hernes will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood
Cemetery, Glenville. Military Honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran's
Organizations. Friends may visit with family one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Harvey died on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the Albert Lea Medical Center.
He was 54.
He was born on July 2, 1951, in St. Paul, MN, the son of Reed and Hazel L. (Rust)
Denzer. He attended Monroe High School in St. Paul, MN,
Harvey served our country in the U.S. Navy from August of 1969 until he was
honorably discharged in April of 1970.
He was united in marriage to Janet Bozvay on January 8, 1970 in Pensacola, FL.
Following his return from the service he worked as a security guard in St. Paul and then as Police Chief in Glenville for more than 14 years.
He was a member of the Minnesota Police Officers Association.
Harvey enjoyed fishing, hunting and traveling.
Harvey is survived by his wife Janet of Glenville; half brothers Merle (Darlene) Denzer of Cottage Grove, Wayne L. (Jodi) Denzer of St. Paul; half sisters:
Agnes (Tom) Dudery of St. Paul, Becky (Dan) Carpenter, of St. Paul, father-in-law and mother-in-law Fred and Dorothy Bozvay of McGregor, MN, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ron (Ruth) Bozvay of St. Paul, Craig (Marie) Bozvay of St. Paul,
Shirley (Gene) Nelson of Waubun, MN, and several nieces, nephews, aunts and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister-in-law Karen (Donald) Haagenson.
