Harold Tasker

Remembering the life of Harold "Harry" L. Tasker…

Funeral Services for Harold "Harry" L. Tasker, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at
First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Reverend Allan Stoa will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest
Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran's Organizations.
Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. on Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and
one hour before services at the church.

Harry died peacefully on Sunday, March 24, 2013 at his home. He was 87.

He was born on February 2, 1926, in Albert Lea, Minnesota the son of L.E. and Lillian M. (Voltz)
Tasker.

Harry attended Albert Lea Public Schools and then served our country in the Merchant Marines.

He married Martha J. Haines on October 11, 1947, in Glenville.

Harry had been employed at Wilson & Co, as a pipefitter, for 37 ½ years before retiring.

He was a member of First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea.

Harry had served as a Boy Scout Leader for more than 10 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He enjoyed being in the "camping Club", and was a "Friends of the Woods" volunteer at Nerstrand State Park.
He loved his visits with the retirees from the Union Center group.


Harry is survived by his wife Martha of Albert Lea, children: Tom (Donna) Tasker of Camp Verde, AZ, David (Cheryl) Tasker of Diamondhead, MS, Kathy (Kevin) Dail of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren:
Christa (Brad) Layman, Julie (Eric) Bromwell, Jimmy (Cheri) Battise, George (Jenae) Battise,
Dustin Tasker, Danielle Tasker, Mandy (Jessey) Shipman, Kira Meza, Briana (Jules) Boot, Whitney Tasker, Sarah Dail, Josh (Kim) Waites, Marybeth (Chris) Bolton, Rachel Waites and Jennifer Waites ; 20 great grandchildren; brother Robert (Betty) Tasker of Austin, MN and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Myrtle Howard and Cora Anderson and a
brother William Tasker.

Memorials suggested to First Lutheran Building Fund or the youth at The Rock.
