Harold Dahl Obituary:
The funeral service for Harold Dahl of Albert Lea, MN will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Salem Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Pastor Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church. Military Honors Accorded by Albert Lea Veteran?s Organizations.
Harold died November 30, 2005 at St. John?s Lutheran Home. He was 88 years old.
Harold was born September 27, 1917, in Lake Mills, Iowa, the son of Lewis and Emma Dahl. He graduated from Lake Mills High School and in 1941 graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in business administration.
In WWII, Harold served in the Mediterranean Theater of Operations based with the air transport command in Algiers. He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force Reserve.
Harold was united in marriage to Linda Neve on September 17, 1950. He spent his working career at Queen Products/Scotsman Ice Machines. In his leisure he liked to spend time at the library and travel world wide with Linda.
Harold is survived by his wife Linda, daughter Deborah (Gene) Lund of Idaho Falls, Idaho; daughter Jeanne (Steven) Hendrickson of Albert Lea; granddaughters Stephanie Hanson, Megan (Ryan) Jensen, and Karin Lund; step grandsons Erik (Kelly) Hendrickson and Jamie (Andrea) Hendrickson; brothers-in-law Wilbert (Ardene) Neve of Prior Lake, MN, Richard (Beverly) Neve of Albert Lea, MN; sisters-in-law Marjorie Lenz of Gibbon, MN, Erlyss Flugum of Glenville, MN, and Judy Neve of Brighton, CO; nieces and nephews: Ann, Byron and David Dahl; Charles, Douglas, Katherine, Karyn, Sherry, Brian, Jeff, Danny, Anthony, David, Micheal, Robert, Donald, and Janice Neve; Larry, Lyle Jr., Denise and David Flugum, Laury and Linda Lenz.
He was preceded in death by brother Ernest (Ollie) Dahl, brothers-in-law Arnold Lenz, Kenneth Neve, Bernard (Marie) Neve and Lyle Flugum.
