The funeral service for Guadalupe Salinas Reyes will be 11:00a.m. Friday, April 13, 2012 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday, April 12, 2012 at Bonnerup Funeral Service Albert Lea. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery.
Guadalupe died Saturday April 7, 2012 at the Mayo Health System, Albert Lea. He was 71 years old.
Guadalupe was born September 11, 1940 in Matamoros, Mexico to Hijinio and Maria (de la luz Salinas Rio) Reyes Salinas.
Guadalupe graduated school in Mexico. He lived in Houston, TX. , Brownsville, TX. and Albert Lea, MN. Guadalupe married Elida Zuniga. He was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church. Guadalupe worked as a carpenter and also was a laborer in various factories. He enjoyed fishing, playing bingo and poker, listening to Mexican music. He especially enjoyed being with his family and grandchildren. He liked being in the kitchen and grilling out for his family.
Guadalupe is survived by his wife: Elida; children: Alex Reyes , Jesus (Rosa) Reyes, Maria Losolla and Guadalupe (Lisa) Reyes Jr. all of Albert Lea; MN; grandchildren: Jesse, Adriana, Andre, Lilia, Jasmine, Tony, Alicia, Regin, William and Dallas; great grandchild: Dominic; brothers and sisters: Juana Reyes Bermudez, Hijinio Reyes Salinas, Catalina Garza Salinas, Isabel Reyes Castillo.
Guadalupe is preceded in death by his parents; son: Guadalupe; brothers and sister: Albaro Hinojosa Salinas, Gloria Reyes Salinas and Noe Reyes Castillo.
