Obituary: Gordon LeRoy Kaiser
The memorial service for Gordon LeRoy Kaiser of the Richland Care Center, New Richland, Minnesota will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ellendale United Methodist Church, Ellendale, Minnesota.. Pastor Gary Liker will officiate. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Waldorf, Minnesota. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Tuesday at Friedrich Funeral Home, New Richland, Minnesota
Military Honors will be accorded by the Waldorf American Legion Post 587.
Gordon died Saturday, August 13, 2005 at the New Richland Care Center. He was 80 years old.
Gordon was born March 4, 1925 at Albert Lea, Minnesota to Roy and Emma (Lage) Kaiser. He lived at Hayward, Minnesota until 1930 when he moved to Palmer, Iowa. In 1943 Gordon graduated from Palmer High School. In 1949 he moved back to Minnesota and resided at Matawan, Mn. In Vivian Township, Waseca County. In 1975 he moved to Brainerd Minnesota
Gordon married Donna Lee Esther Vogelsang in 1952 at Wells, Minnesota.. They owned and operated Mar-Len Resort. Gordon also had farmed and did carpenter work for four years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 587 Waldorf. Gordon enjoyed fishing, hunting, singing and playing pool.
Gordon is survived by his wife: Donna Lee Kaiser of New Richland, Minnesota; two sons: Steven Kaiser and his wife Rosemarie of Waseca, Minnesota and Alan Kaiser and his wife Mary Lynn of Pemberton, Minnesota; six grandchildren: Alana and Josh Kelley, Devann and Mike Klampe, Jacob, Melissa, Christopher and Tabitha; great grandchild: Jersie; sister: Eileen Habben of Buffalo Lake Minnesota.
Gordon is preceded in death by his parents: Roy and Emma Kaiser and brother Roger Kaiser.
