The funeral service for Glenn Howard Shaunce of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at
1:30 P.M. Friday, May 21, 2004 at Ascension Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Pastor Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Thursday at
Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Interment will be in the Geneva
Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by Albert Lea Veteran?s Organizations.
Glenn died on May 17, 2004 at the St. John?s Lutheran Home. He was 87 years old.
Glenn was born in Ames, IA on October 10, 1916, the son of Joe and Gertie (Stoll)
Shaunce. He served in WWII with the 3rd Army Division, entering December 1, 1941 and discharged October 1945 as a Sargeant. Glenn was united in marriage to Muriel Sorensen in LasVegas on December 7, 1952. He was a farmer near Hollandale until he retired in 1979. He moved to Albert Lea in 1989. Glenn was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church.
Glenn was a member of the VFW and enjoyed traveling in his motor home and visiting with the many people.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Muriel of Albert Lea; son: Larry Dean Shaunce of Albert Lea, MN; stepson: Conrad Jensen of Austin, MN.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers: Archie and Lloyd.
