Francis Janka

Remembering the life of Francis (Rudy) Anthony Janka.
Rudy was born in Albert Lea, MN on July 17th, 1940. He was the son of Anton and Florence (Kulla) Janka. He married Darla Neitzell on November 24th, 1962 at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Newry, MN.
Rudy worked at Wilson Foods, Diekema Construction, Brigg's Trucking, Cenex and the City of Ellendale. In addition, he helped many local farmers during the harvest. He was a volunteer fireman for 43 years for Ellendale Fire Department. He enjoyed fishing, cooking and entertaining with family and friends.
Rudy died on Thursday, December 30th, 2010 at his home after battling cancer.
Rudy is survived by his three children, Brenda (Gary) Tschann of Rochester, MN, Kari Janka (Bob Powell) of Ellendale, Troy (Stephanie) Janka of Owatonna, MN and eight grandchildren: McKenzie, Tanner, Madison, Alyssa, Andrew, Ashton, Paige and Libby. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Darla, and his sister, Delores (Tootsie) Kasper and his parents, Florence and Anton Janka.
