Obituary: Florence Hendrickson
The funeral service for Florence Hendrickson of Albert Lea, Mn will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, August 20, 2011 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel, Albert Lea, MN.
The Reverend Alan Stoa will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation will be form 5 until 8 PM Friday evening at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Florence died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at her home. She was 97 years old.
Florence was born December 29, 1913 to John and Hulda (Anderson) Brindel in Wabasha, MN. She attended Catholic School in Albert Lea and on January 22, 1936 was united in marriage to Russell F. Hendrickson at the First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN.
Florence had been a Freeborn County resident all of her life and a longtime member of the First Lutheran Church. She had been employed for many years at the Hendrix Laundry and retired from Land A�A�A½ O A�A�A½ Lakes in 1979. Florence would also take in laundry and ironing in her home.
Florence was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She loved her flowers and garden, playing bingo, trips to the Casino and hanging out the laundry!
Florence is survived by her daughters: Janice Hardesty of Portland, Oregon, Doris Ellegard of Albert Lea, MN, Marlene Lindgren of North Branch, MN, and Gail Maruska of Albert Lea, MN, sons: Kenneth Hendrickson and his wife Marie of Portland, Oregon, David Hendrickson and his wife Jan of Minneapolis, MN, and Duane Hendrickson and his wife Lynne of Albert Lea, MN; 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. One brother survives; Marvin (Waunita) Brindel of Albert Lea, MN.
Florence was preceded in death by her parents John and Hulda Brindel, husband Russell, daughter Marlys Kelly, daughter in law Phyllis Hendrickson, brothers Clarence, James, John and Raymond Brindel, sisters Hulda Hendricks, Violet Senork, Dorothy Dominski, Lorrine Dominski, Eleanor Nelson and Shirley Brindel as an infant.
