Obituary for Faye E. Severtson



The Memorial Service for Faye E. Severtson of Albert Lea, MN will be held at

11:00 AM Tuesday, November 1, 2005 at Bonnerup Funeral Home Chapel, Albert Lea. The Reverend Monrad Mandsager will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 P.M. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before service at the chapel. Military Honors accorded by Albert Lea Veteran?s Organizations.



Faye died Friday, October 28, 2005 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 78 years old.



Faye Eugene Severtson was born on November 30, 1926 in Albert Lea the son of Alfred and Katherine (Billat) Severtson. He grew up and lived in the Albert Lea area all his life.



Faye joined the United States Marine Corps in 1943 and served in WWII until 1946 receiving a purple heart and an Honorable Discharge.

Faye married Bonnie Long in 1950, in this union they had five children. Faye worked for the Freeborn Co. Highway Department for twenty six years.

Faye married Gina Maggio Miller September 11, 1979 in Las Vegas, NE. After retirement in 1985 he had his own dirt and decorative rock business.

Faye enjoyed going to auctions and visiting with family and friends. He loved his children and family.



Faye is survived by sons: Ricky Severtson of Austin, MN, Jim Severtson of Appleton, MN; daughters: Karen (Pete) Nielsen of Albert Lea, Deb (Doug) Buck of Kasson, MN, Susan (John) O?Malley of Utica, MN; grandchildren: Marcie (Colby) Sailor, Jeff Ulve, Israel Severtson, Sara Peterson and Jessica Severtson; great grandchildren: Wyatt, Josie and Laine Sailor, Ella and Elijah Thompson; brothers: Clayton, Carol and Richard Severtson all of Glenville, MN, Kenneth (Sara) Severtson of Albert Lea; sister-in-law: Leona Severtson of Albert Lea, MN.



Faye was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Katherine Severtson, two brothers, Roger and Val (Bud) Severtson; three sisters-in-law, Marvel, Muriel and Pat; two grandchildren: Daniel Nielsen and Michelle Ulve; one great grandson, Dana Thompson.



Faye will be greatly missed by his family and friends with cherished memories living on forever.
