Everett Hagen

October 24, 1930 — February 3, 2013

Everett L. (Smokey) Hagen, 82, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea. Private interment will be in Lunder Lutheran Church Cemetery. Everett wishes were not to have a memorial service. The family requests no memorials be sent, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers in the days ahead.
Everett was born October 24, 1930 in Albert Lea, Minnesota to Bert G. and Anna V. (Shepperd) Hagen. He was a four year veteran of the Air Force. He enlisted in December 1950 in Albert Lea and discharged November 1954 at Camp Kilmer, New Jersey as an Airman First Class.
Everett drove truck for 45 years. He drove for Red Owl and Piggly Wiggly, Albert Lea, Minnesota and Frey Miller, Bakersfield, California. He was a member of First Lutheran Church. He enjoyed watching the Minnesota Twins.
Everett is survived by his son: Thomas M. Hagen of Shakopee, MN; granddaughters: Katlynn Hagen Carver, MN and Cassandra Hagen of San Luis Obispo, California; sisters:
Betty Hanna and her husband Ray of Emmons, MN, Nylene Thompson and her husband Gilman of Twin Lakes, Minnesota, Nola Thibodeau of Freemont, Nebraska and Bernette Nelson of Alden, Minnesota; brothers: Dellan Hagen and his wife Annette of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Elwood Hagen and his wife Marlys of Albert Lea, Minnesota, Glenn Hagen and his wife Louise of Albert Lea, Minnesota and Bernard Hagen and his wife Cheryl of Hartland, Minnesota.
Everett is preceded in death by his parents: Bert and Anna Hagen; daughter: Kimberly Sue Hagen; brother: Gary Hagen; brothers-in-law: Larry Nelson and Steve Thibodeau.
