Angie died on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, surrounded by her loving family. She was 78 years of age.
Angie was born on October 22, 1934 in Bricelyn, MN, to Abigail (Albert) and Juanita (Roche) Acosta, and had seven siblings: Raymond Acosta (deceased), Adam Acosta of Las Vegas, NV., David (Esther) Acosta of Newport News, VA., Maximino (Ida) Acosta of Gretna, LA., Jesse (Corina) Acosta of Garland, TX., Victoria (Julian, deceased) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA., and Salvador (Insun) Acosta of Woodbridge, VA.
She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Jose of Albert Lea; and four children, Christopher (Christine) Madrigal of Zimmerman, MN, David Madrigal of Minneapolis, MN., Lidia (Michael) Morales of Lakeville, MN., and Barbara Jean Madrigal of Albert Lea, MN. She was also blessed with ten grandchildren, Stephanie, Brandon, Bryan, Ben, Tessa, Erica, Michael, Salvador, Ava and Olivia, and many nieces and nephews.
Angie was a homemaker, an avid reader, and a choir member of St. Theodore for the past 35 years. She will be fondly remembered as a caregiver to all, for her cooking and baking, especially pies and cinnamon rolls, for her beautiful voice and long dark hair, and for her strong faith in God.
A very special thanks to the wonderful care given by her nurses at St. Mary's Hospital during her last days. She will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by those whose lives she touched.
