Obituary: Eugene Arthur Lageson



The Memorial Service for Eugene Arthur Lageson of rural Ellendale, Minnesota will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at Our Father?s House, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Pastor Kip Jentoft will officiate. Visitation will be 5-7p.m. Monday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Ellendale.



Eugene died Saturday, May 7, 2005 at the Owatonna Hospital, Owatonna, Minnesota. He was 65 years old.



Eugene was born April 18, 1940 in Berlin Township Steele County Minnesota to Enock and Agnes (Miller) Lageson. Eugene was a lifetime Ellendale resident. He graduated from Ellendale High School in 1958. After graduation he entered into the US Army for 3 years. Eugene married Gretta Waage on June 17, 1961 at the First Lutheran Church, Ellendale. He worked for Wilson?s and later worked for Cargill rural New Richland. Eugene was a member of Our Father?s House of Albert Lea. Eugene enjoyed fishing, gardening, mowing the yard, traveling. He had a good sense of humor. Most especially, Eugene enjoyed being with his family and seeing his grandchildren.



Eugene is survived by his wife Gretta Lageson of rural Ellendale, Minnesota, four children: Son: Kent and his son Erik of Burnsville, Minnesota, daughter: Kimberly Stevens of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and her children: Nycolle and Brittany and two great grandchildren: Lyric and Dean; daughter: Kelly Katsis and her husband Steve of Tulsa, Okalahoma and their children: Lauren, Ahnah, Mariah, Kolbe and Kolton; daughter: Kolette Stevenson of Minnetonka, Minnesota; sister Elois Anderson of Northfield, Minnesota; brother: Luther Lageson of Biwabik, Minnesota.



Eugene was preceded in death by his parents in 1970 and brother: Stanley Lageson.
