Eugene Bolinger

Funeral services for Eugene F. Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, March 6, 2014 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor George Marin will officiate. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening from 4 until 7 PM and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups.
Eugene died Saturday, March 1, 2014 at St Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was 88 years of age.
Eugene was born September 5, 1925 in Mapleton, MN, the son of John and Bonnie (Kramer) Bolinger. He attended public school and served in the US Navy. He was employed for over 35 years at Continental Castings in Albert Lea, MN.
Eugene was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching football and golf on TV.
He is survived by his children John Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN, Danny Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN, Terry (Debbie) Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN, Tom (Colleen) Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN and Steve Bolinger of Albert Lea, MN. There are 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Also surviving are five brothers Bill (Zelma) Bolinger of Austin, MN, Donald (Juanita) Bolinger of Alexandria, MN, Jack (Hannah) Bolinger of Mason City, IA, Jerry (Bonnie) Bolinger of Manchester, MN, Galen (Sandy) Bolinger of Manchester, MN, son in law Lonny Broitzman of Glenville, MN, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Dale and Mark, daughter Diane Broitzman and sister Lavella Hoyt.
