Elmer Morgan

Funeral services for Elmer N. Morgan of Hayward, MN, will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, September 10, 2018 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, MN. Pastor Kent Otterman will officiate. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening from 5 until 7 PM at the Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Hayward Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups. Elmer died Sunday, September 2, 2018 at the Albert Lea Good Samaritan Home. He was 92 years of age. Elmer was born November 9, 1925 in Louisville, KY, the son of Will Robert and Cynthia (Ison) Morgan. He was a high school graduate and served his country in the US Navy. On December 6, 1945 he was united in marriage to LaVonne Edwin in San Francisco, CA. Elmer was employed for over 33 years at the Wilson Company in Albert Lea. He lived in Hayward since 1985 and was a lifetime member of the Eagles, American Legion and the V.F.W. Elmer loved fishing and hunting, played golf and even had a hole in one! Elmer is survived by his children; Mike (Debbie) Morgan of Albert Lea, MN, Larry (Debbie) Morgan of Hartland, MN, Richard Morgan of Hayward, MN, Barb Schoen of Albert Lea, MN, Gary Morgan of Hayward, MN, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife LaVonne, daughter Carol Handris, seven brothers, one sister and son in law Jim Schoen.
