Elizabeth A. "Betty" Jenson, 85, formerly of Albert Lea and Mankato, died Tuesday, March 29, 2005 in the Grand Village, Grand Rapids, MN.

Born August 27, 1920 in Albert Lea, she was the daughter of Olaf and Alma (Johnsrud) Hanson. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School, a charter member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Albert Lea, and a former member and past president of the Albert Lea V.F.W. Auxiliary. Betty and William F. "Bud" Jenson were married on October 3, 1938 in Albert Lea. Betty lived in Albert Lea, MN until 1969, Mankato, MN from 1969 to 1985, and Mesa, AZ from 1985 until Bud?s death in 2003.

Her parents, Olaf and Alma Hanson; her husband, William F "Bud" Jenson in 2003; a grandson, Jason L. Smith in 1990; and a granddaughter, Lisa A. Smith in 2003 preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters: Barbara (Roger) Reese of Clarks Grove, MN and Paulette (Durin) Smith of Coleraine, MN; a son, William R. Jenson of Minneapolis, MN; a granddaughter, Kathy Gerard of Findlay, OH, two grandson: John E. (Adrianna) Reese of San Jacinto, CA, and Darrin S. Smith of Owatonna, MN; two great grandchildren: Samuel J. Smith of Virginia, MN and Hailey Reese Perez of Findlay, OH; two brothers: Anthony (Bonnie) Hanson of Seattle, WA and Paul (Betty) Hanson of Albert Lea, MN.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 7:00 PM, Friday, April 1, 2005 in Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and will continue from 12:00 Noon until the 1:00 PM funeral service on Saturday, April 2 in the Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea.
