The memorial service for Edward ?Tim? Timothy Whelan will be held at 1:00 PM Monday, November 14, 2005 at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea, MN. The Reverend Jim Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the church. Bonnerup Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
Tim died on Friday, November 11, 2005 at Albert Lea Medical Center. He was 60 years old.
Tim was born in Albert Lea, MN on December 13, 1944, the son of Martin E. and Clara (Sipple) Whelan. He was a lifetime resident of Freeborn County and was a graduate of Ellendale High School where had been active in wrestling and football.
Tim had worked as a salesman for Bill Olson and Clements Chevrolet. He was a farm boy. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bee farming, car collecting, snowmobiling, and playing pool and darts.
Tim is survived by two brothers: Dennis (Alice) Whelan of Albert Lea, MN, Lewis Whelan of Mora, MN; two sisters: Laurel Whelan of Mankato, MN, Peggy Whelan of Motley, MN; pet dog, ?Spike?; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bill; two sisters: Clara and Mary Pat.
