Edna Schocker

Memorial Services for Edna Marie Schocker of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. Pastor Vern Harris will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may visit with family from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, and one hour before services at Bonnerup Funeral Service. Edna developed kidney disease and had been on dialysis since June of 1998. She died peacefully on Saturday morning, June 2, 2012 at ThorneCrest Retirement Center-Health Care Wing. Edna was born on January 15, 1933, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Earl and Anna Bertha (Schoon) DeRaad. She married LeRoy Schocker on May 17, 1980
Edna had worked at Land O' Lakes and Hudson Foods for 33 years retiring on January 3, 1997. She enjoyed bowling and golf for which she received many
trophies. She also liked fishing and reading. She loved her three poodles Missy, Charlie and Cuddles.
Edna is survived by her husband LeRoy Schocker of Albert Lea, her children: Sandy (John) Espinosa of Union, NE, and Sheryl (Dennis) Christensen of Jackson, Mississippi; 20 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; brother, Earl DeRaad (Dorothy) of Albert Lea and several nieces and nephews. Edna was preceded in death by her parents, a brother John DeRaad, sisters Pat Solland, and Ann Jensen; daughter Susan Wallace, great grandson, mother-in-law and father-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law.
