Funeral services for Doyle D. Langfald will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 27, 2017 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, rural Myrtle. The Reverend David Efflandt will officiate. Visitation will take place from 5 – 8 PM on Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea, and again one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will take place at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery.
Doyle passed away on Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. He was 59 years old.
Doyle David Langfald was born on June 16, 1958 to David and Mary (Peterson) Langfald in Albert Lea, MN. He grew up in Frost, and graduated from Frost High School in 1976. Doyle married Patti Holmseth in 1977. The couple would later divorce. In 1983, Doyle found the love of his life and soulmate, Darla Robbins. The couple has been together for 34 years. Together, the couple raised 5 children.
Doyle worked at Cargill for 32 years, becoming the Head of Receiving for Cargill. Most recently, he was working at Larson’s Contracting. Doyle was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He was an avid Vikings fan, Budweiser collector, having many steins showcased in his home. Doyle loved the outdoors, and found peace when he was outside. Doyle loved his family and friends. He would do anything for anyone, and always thought of others before himself.
He is preceded in death by his twin grandchildren, Jack and Oliver Williamson; and an uncle, Danny Schulz.
Doyle is survived by his soulmate of 34 years, Darla Robbins; parents, David and Mary Langfald; children, Holly (Tony Adams) Langfald, Trice (Trevor) Studier, Amber (Chuck) Anderson, Heather (Jimmy Baseman) Langfald, Melanie (Jordan Williamson) Langfald; grandchildren, Logan, Griffin, and Whitney Studier, Chase, Madisyn, Cadence, Brooklyn, and Eli Anderson, and Andilynn “Andi” Langfald; siblings, Scott (Dawn) Langfald, Jody (Randy) Wirtjes, and Angie (Paul) Armon; a mother in-law, Darlene Moller; sister-in-law DeAnna (Mark) Moller, as well as many other loving relatives and friends.
