Douglas Matthew Caron

Douglas Matthew Caron, 57, of Albert Lea, Mn passed away on September 23, 2023

Doug was born and raised in Albert Lea Minnesota and Graduated in 1985. He married Sharolyn Willberg (formally from Bemidji). They had 3 children together: Riki, Emily, and Roman. They resided in Hollandale, MN and then moved into their current home.

Doug enjoyed all his employment but spent most of his time working for Gary Wangen, Deml Heating, and then most recently for Scott Deml, owner of Fireplace Connections.

Doug loved hunting, fishing, camping, and gardening. He enjoyed time spent with his family, friends, and other relatives. “Pappy” prided himself in his renaming of grandchildren, Twig (Trealyn), Scrappy (Tinnley), and Rooster (Ryker).

Douglas is survived by his wife, Sharolyn Caron; daughters Riki Mickelson (Joey), Emily Staat (Emmett); son, Roman Caron; grandchildren, Trealyn, Tinnley, and Ryker Mickelson; siblings, Debra Caron, Chris Caron, Laura Stage (Greg), and Randy Caron; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Romeo and Janet Caron.

Doug’s family will host a private service on October 14, 2023.
