The funeral service for Dorothy Jeanette Christina Hendrickson of Owatonna, Minnesota will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at Friedrich Funeral Home, New Richland. The Reverend Charles Espe will officiate. Interment will be in Vista Lutheran Cemetery.
Dorothy died Saturday May 1, 2010 at the Owatonna Commons. She was 77 years old.
Dorothy was born July 19, 1932 in Otisco Township, Waseca County, Minnesota to Carl O. and Edith L. (Johnson) Johnson. She grew up on the family farm in the Vista Community, Waseca, County. She attend Country School District 85 and then New Richland High School. Dorothy worked for E.F. Johnson, Waseca, MN. She moved to Owatonna, Minnesota where she raised three sons: Donald, Dean and David.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by her three sons: Donald (Renae) Olson of rural Janesville, Minnesota, Dean Olson of Owatonna, Minnesota and David (Jill) Olson of rural Janesville, Minnesota; seven grandchildren: Katie, Aaron, Dylan, Alex, Michaela, Hannah and Luke; two great grandchildren: Blake and Isabel; sisters: Gertrude Johnson of Owatonna, Minnesota and Helen Miller of Hayfield, Minnesota; brother: Delbert (Marie) Johnson of Owatonna, Minnesota; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers: Glen, Lowell, and Harvey Johnson; sisters Lenore Johnson and Evelyn Breck; a nephew:and two nieces.
