Donna Prescott

Donna Mae Prescott, 85, of Albert Lea passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Thorne Crest Senior Living Community of Albert Lea.

A private interment at Memorial Park Cemetery of Mason City, Iowa will take place at a later date.

Donna was born February 14, 1935 in Garner, IA to Joseph and Isabelle (Knoll) Dankbar. She attended school and graduated from Clearlake High School.

On November 15, 1954 Donna married Dale Prescott and to this union three sons were born; Allen, Loren and Steve and the couple later divorced.

Donna spent her life on the farm as a homemaker, seamstress and enjoyed crafts and many years of square dancing in Missouri and all across Tennessee! She also enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and the accordion for church and numerous other functions. If Donna’s TV was ever on, you could bet that it was to watch her Minnesota Twins.

She is survived by her sons, Allen (Sandy) Prescott of Albert Lea, Loren Prescott of Shelley, ID and Steve (Ronda) Prescott of Fertile, IA; 5 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; sister, Ruth Colbert of Murfreesboro, TN and sister-in-law, JoAnn Dankbar of Clearlake, IA.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jim and Bob Dankbar.
