Donald Christensen

Memorial services will be held at a later date for Donald Raymond Christensen of Albert Lea , MN , who died Sunday evening at the Good Samaritan Center in Albert Lea following complications of a stroke suffered in February.

Donald was born August 20, 1925 in Albert Lea , MN , the son of Vigo and Ruby (Phillips) Christensen. He was raised by his grandmother Margaret Flanagen. He attended Albert Lea public schools and on November 26, 1951 was united in marriage to Joan Goodnow in Albert Lea.

Donald lived most of his life in Freeborn County where he was employed for over 34 years at the Scotsman Ice Co., as an engineer. He was a member of St Theodore Catholic Church.

Donald enjoyed amateur model railroading, watching the Minnesota Twins and Vikings and playing huckelybuck.

He is survived by his wife Joan of Albert Lea, MN, and several cousins.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents and numerous aunts and uncles.
