A memorial service for Dale R. Klocek will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at the Bonnerup Funeral Chapel. The Reverend Richard Spande will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:30-6:30 on Thursday at the funeral home, and again a half hour before services at the funeral home.
Dale passed away at his home on December 1, 2014 of bladder cancer. He was 62 years old.
Dale Raymond Klocek was born on February 21, 1952 to Raymond V. and Catherine T. (Lenort) Klocek in Wells, MN. Dale was a member of St. Casmir Catholic Church. He attended and graduated from Freeborn High School. After schooling, he enlisted in the United States Army, and served his country until his honorable discharge in 1975. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for his meritorious service.
On August 16, 1980, Dale was united in marriage to Candice Ann (Lambrecht) in Albert Lea, MN. The couple lived in the Freeborn and Alden area. Dale was employed in the agriculture industry, and was self-employed. Dale was a member of the Alden American Legion for many years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and vegetable gardening. He also looked forward to hosting deer camp, spending time with his family making bologna and family summer campouts. He was grateful for the time he spent with his nieces and nephews.
Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Katy Klocek; father and mother in-law, Ray and Romona Lambrecht; sister in-law, LaRae McPartlin; and brothers in-law, Calvin Lambrecht and Gerald Kent;
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Candice; sisters, Jean Kent, Joan Klocek, Lois Klocek, and Rita (Larry) Hendrickson; brothers, Lyle (Cheri) Klocek and Paul (Dawn) Klocek; sisters in-law, Dawn (Al) Chassier and Tammy (Jack) Cunningham; brothers in-law, Redg (Pam) Lambrecht and Rodney (Rhonda) Lambrecht; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
