CLARA L. THIEMAN
Funeral Services for Clara Thieman will be held at Salem Lutheran Church in Albert Lea on Saturday, November 8, at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. The Reverend Jay Dahlvang will officiate. Interment will be in Hartland Cemetery.
Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family with arrangements.
Clara Luella Rugroden was born to Ole and Martha (Simonson) Rugroden on October 14, 1910 at Hartland, MN.
She was baptized and confirmed at the Hartland Synod church. Clara attended School in Hartland and graduated from Free High School. Clara graduated from Thompson's School of Cosmetology in Des Moines, IA., where she became instructor for several years. She was also instuctor at Samuel's Beauty School in Sioux City, IA. Clara married Orlyn Thieman on October 5, 1944. They moved to California where their son Craig Clare was born. After living in California for over 40 years, Clara moved back
to Minnesota. She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church. She was a member of "Sew and Tell" where she made dozens of quilt tops that she and her group finished for World Relief and other organizations.
Clara died on Tuesday, November 4, 2003 at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 93.
Clara was preceded in death by Orlyn and their son Craig, her parents and in-laws, sisters: Stella and Harley Dally, Palma and Leonard Hughes, Elsie and Arthur Durrant,
brother Orville M. Rugroden, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.
She is survived by one grandson James Craig Thieman stationed in Naples, Italy, sisters: Myrtle Back of Andover, MN., Nora Hendrickson of Albert Lea, daughter-in-law Linda Madison of Georgia, sister-in-law Elaine Rogroden of Concord, CA., and nieces and nephews. Blessed be her memory.
