Cheryl Monson

Funeral Services for Cheryl L. Monson of Albert Lea, will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea. The Reverend Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Cheryl was born on March 3, 1951, in Albert Lea, the daughter of Theodore and Estella (Mosier) Monson. She attended Albert Lea Schools. Cheryl worked for Cedar Valley Services for the past 16 years and had also worked at Alpha. She loved singing and dancing and all kinds of music. She also enjoyed the outdoors, especially animals and camping.
Cheryl died on Thursday, June 18, 2015 at Good Samaritan Society. She was 64. Cheryl is survived by her siblings: Russell Monson and his wife Judith of Young America, MN, Ruth Smith of Albert Lea, Larry Monson and his wife Bonnie of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Curtis Monson of Clarks Grove, MN, and Alice and her husband Keith Swenson of Rose Creek, MN, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, mother , brothers: Dale, Junior and Tommy, sisters-in-law Joan and Bessie, brother-in-law, Earl D. "Smitty" Smith and three great nephews.
Cheryl will be greatly missed and fondly remembered for her joyful, childlike spirit. Blessed be her memory.
