Obituary for Cecil Warren Heskett
Memorial services for Cecil Warren Heskett will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 26, 2005 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN. The Reverend John Holt will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Veterans? Organizations.
Cecil died at his home on Saturday, January 22, 2005. He was 79 years old.
Cecil was born in Owatonna, MN on November 26, 1925, the son of Ray and Martha (Jensen) Heskett. During WWII he served in the U.S. Army from 1944-46.
On May 20, 1961 he was united in marriage with Doris Perkins in Sioux Falls, SD. They are members of First Lutheran Church where he had been baptized and confirmed.
Cecil enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great granddaughter..
Cecil was a very big hearted individual. He was always helping others before himself. A humanitarian, he couldn?t ever stand to see anyone, man or animal, suffer without trying to help them in some way. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Cecil is survived by his wife, Doris of Albert Lea, MN; three children: Earl Heskett and his wife, Nancy and their son, Andrew and daughters, Rachel and Lauren of Glenville, MN, Emily Frerk and her husband, Todd and their son, Cory and daughter, Ashley and her daughter, Taylor of Albert Lea, MN, Elgen Heskett and his wife, Nancy and their son, Cole and daughter, Carissa of Glenville, MN; one brother, Frank Heskett of Neenah, WI; five sisters: Elsie Egge, Elaine Manges, Eldora Johnson, Evelyn Nielsen and Ellen Johnson all of Albert Lea, MN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Martha Heskett; one brother, Marvin Heskett and his wife, Mable
