The funeral service for Carol Margaret Burrell of Albert Lea, MN will be held at
10:30 A.M. Saturday, January 26, 2008 at The First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea.
Pastor John Holt will officiate. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Albert Lea, MN. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea and one hour before service at the church.
Carol died on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center, Albert Lea
at the age of 77.
Carol Margaret Burrell was born in Winnebago, MN on June 30, 1930, the daughter of Arthur and Lorna Stanton. She was married to Delbert Burrell on November 1, 1964.
She is survived by her children: Scott Burrell and friend Stacy Speiker of Belton, MO, Shelly (Burrell) Beaver and husband Gene of Albert Lea, MN, James Long of Minneapolis, MN, Steven Long and wife Laurie of Albert Lea, MN, Terry Burrell of Vancover, WA, Christine (Burrell) Dagestad and husband Dean of Albert Lea, MN; grandchildren Mike Burrell, Dan Burrell, Jennifer Anderson, Barry Dagestad, Ryan Long, Shanna Breuer, Lacy Long, Jacklyn Burrell, Melanie Long, Lauren Long, Lorna Beaver; 3 great grandchildren Kari, Megan and Jake; she is also survived by her siblings: Wayne & Arladyne Stanton, Gladys & Raymond Steen, Darlene and Gordon Breitbarth Ralph and Maureen Stanton; brother-in-law Gene and Patsy Burrell.
Carol was a member of First Lutheran Church. She belonged to two circles and was a Sunday School teacher for 15 years. She volunteered for many projects and special activities that took place at First Lutheran Church. She was also a volunteer with Hand, that did special events for the mentally challenged.
She was a waitress at the Midway Sub CafAC. here in Albert Lea. She also waitressed at the Holiday Inn-Days Inn.
Her favorite things to do was cooking and baking. She loved collecting recipes and cookbooks. Holidays were always filled with many different kinds of treats.
After Carol was unable to go out to church, Peace and Power provided her a chance to worship at home. She has requested that memorials be given to Peace & Power.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Paul Long, step-son James Burrell and sister Evelyn.
