Bradley died on Tuesday, July 9, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, never giving up during his valiant journey with Duchene Muscular Dystrophy. He was born on February 28, 1972, in Albert Lea, the son of Vernon and Alice (Arneson) Goette. Brad was baptized and confirmed at St. Peter Lutheran Church and graduated from New Richland High School. Brad lived his life with great purpose, always positive, always the voice of reason, and always wanted to be on the winning team.
Bradley is survived by his parents Vernon and Alice Goette, two sisters: Cheryl (Raland) Johnson of Ellendale and their children Kady, Ethan and Garret, Theresa (John) Larson and their children Michelle Larson (Alex Banks) and son Felix, and Melissa Larson (Drew Steele); aunts and uncles and their families: Nancy Golde of Albert Lea, Marilyn and Gregg Polk of Tampa, FL, Darlene and Paul Diemer of Albert Lea, Darlene Underland of Ellendale, Marcella Goette of New Richland and Laurie Goette of Zumbro Falls, MN. Brad was preceded in death by his brother Brian at the age of 16, his grandparents Albert and Laura Goette and Grace and Alton Arneson; uncles and aunts: Marvin Goette, Donald and Tena Goette, Loren Goette, Dick Underland and Donald Golde.
Brad was a passionate sports fan and because of this we know that “Victory is much more meaningful when it comes just not just from one person, but the achievements of many”.. The family would like to thank the “All Star Team” of nurses and health care professionals, especially the nurses at Embrace and the many, many, other caring people who have had a big impact on Brad’s journey, bringing comfort, joy and light to his days.
