Memorial Services for Bonnie Irene Morfitt will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 14, 2005 at Ascension Lutheran Church, South Highway 69, Albert Lea, Minnesota. Pastor Clark Cary will officiate. Visitation with her family will be one hour before the service.
Born Bonnie Irene Morfitt, January 20, 1920 in Sacramento, California. The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mervyn B. White. Following high school she attended business college in Sacramento, California. She worked for Crowley Barge & Tug Company in San Francisco where she met her husband Derald W. Morfitt. Derald was serving his naval duty on the U.S.S. Barnwell. They were married November 22, 1945 in Reno, Nevada. Following his discharge they moved to Minnesota where Derald?s family resided. They moved to Albert Lea in 1951.
She was a charter member of Ascension Lutheran Church. Bonnie enjoyed her family and home activities, camping, traveling and winters in Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Derald, three children Wayne and his wife Barbara, Gregory and Nancy; Grandchildren, Natalie Gerk (Phoenix, Arizona), Rebecca Anderson (Albert Lea), Melanie Tarnow (LaCrosse, Wisconsin), Alison Kassulke (Farmington, Minnesota), Amanda Foreman (Albert Lea), Matthew Morfitt (Coon Rapids), Sadie Morifitt (Albert Lea), and Marc Morfitt, (Albert Lea). She will be greatly missed by her furry friend Benny.
