The Funeral Service for Beverly J. Henry, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Thursday, April 28, 2016, at Trinity Lutheran Church, in Albert Lea. The Reverend Kent Otterman will officiate. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at Bonnerup Funera l Service and one hour before the service at the church. Beverly died on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Albert Lea. She was 83.
Beverly Jane was born on March 25, 1933, in Clarks Grove, Minnesota the daughter of Kermit and Violet(Nelson)Jensen. Her early years were spent on the farm where she helped her dad with farm chores. The family moved to Euclid Avenue in Albert Lea, and Beverly attended Albert Lea Schools and graduated from High School in 1951. She married Robert Henry on October 27, 1951 at Trinity Lutheran Church. While raising her five children, Mark, Marcia, Marlene, Mike and Mary, she worked at Northpark. She had also worked at Trades Publishing and Electric Motor Bearing before retiring. Beverly was a lifetime member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was active in circle and the women of the church. She was also a member of the Danish Brotherhood. Beverly is survived by her children: Mark (Micky) Henry of New Brighton, MN, Marcia (Richard)Hoffman of Albert Lea, Marlene (Roger) Bjortomt of Mankato, MN, Mike (Karen) Henry of Albert Lea and Mary (Todd) Wheeler of Alexandria, MN; grandchildren: Joel (Denise) Henry, Tracy (Deanna) Henry, Amy (Mike) Bettwy, Katie (Jarred) Britton, Jon (Amanda)Hoffman, Bryan(Brianna) Hoffman, Blake (Amy) Bjortomt, Brook (Justin) Ling, Ryan Henry, Seth Henry(fiancé Diane), Jordan Henry (fiancé Brittany), Marissa Wheeler, Jake Wheeler; great grandchildren: Parker Henry, Nicholas Henry, Nolan Henry, Clara Henry, Emily Britton, Noah Hoffman, Owen Hoffman, Avery Hoffman, Kamryn Hoffman, Brittan Hoffman, Lucas Bjortomt, Lydia Bjortomt, Dalton Ling, Jackson Ling, Hunter Hinz-Henry, Caliber Hinz-Henry and Camilla Henry; sister Evelyn (Bill) Matthies of Brainerd, MN, special friend Dean Means of Albert Lea, and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 1992, and her parents Kermit and Violet Jensen. Beverly will be greatly missed by her family, who she dearly loved.
