Betty Marie (Wolff) Knudson age 73, of Andover, MN, formerly of Albert Lea, MN died April 22, 2015 as a result of cancer at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN.
She left behind the following loved ones: children, Jackie Larson of Faribault, MN, Tony Knudson of Maplewood, MN, Nikki (Randy) Wirz of Elk River, MN; grandchildren, Angie (Ray) York of Wannamingo, MN, Jake Larson of Faribault, MN, Mary (Josh) Hellerud of Nerstrand, MN, Rosa (Kyle) Ackerman of Owatonna, and Zoey Wirz of Elk River, MN; great-grandchildren, Parker and Edison Ackerman and Isabelle, Henrik and Penelope Hellerud; siblings, Larry (Kathy) Wolff of Maize, KS; Kitty (Mario) Disaia of Elizabeth, PA and Pat Koss of Champaign, IL; several beloved aunts, many cherished cousins, nieces and nephews; longtime friend Jeanie Steinbring of 42 years.
Preceded in death by parents, Chester and Esther Wolff; sister, Jean Walsh; the father of her children, Alert Knudson, and some wonderful aunts and uncles.
Mom also had many other friends along the way she lovingly called family. Hobbies included softball, bowling, camping, cooking, canning, grilling and hosting family gatherings. She worked hard her whole life and made the world a better place because of it. Being a gracious tissue donor, someone now has her beautiful, big blue eyes.
Memorial service for Betty Knudson will be held at 2 PM Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Albert Lea, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery in Albert Lea, MN.
