Funeral services for Berneice L. (Bernie) Paczkowski of Albert Lea, MN, will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, June 25, 2005 at St Theodore Catholic Church. Father Robert Schneider will officiate. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 4 - 8 PM , with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in St Theodore Cemetery.
Mrs. Paczkowski died Wednesday, June 22, 2005 at St Mary?s Hospital in Rochester. She was 82 years of age.
Berneice was born on June 3, 1923 in Albert Lea, MN, the daughter of Christopher and Hattie (Larson) Ringham. She was a graduate of Albert Lea High School in 1940. On September 9, 1946 she was united in marriage to Russell Paczkowski at St Theodore Catholic Church Rectory.
Bernie was a lifetime resident of Albert Lea and worked with her family for many years at the Ringham?s Grocery on Pearl St. After her marriage she was employed by the Morlea Dairy and then as a bank officer with Peoples Savings and Loan where she also served as board secretary.
Bernie was a devout catholic and a member of St Theodore Catholic Church and was active in the CCW. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and secretary-treasurer of the WA-TAN-YE.
Bernie enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking and was an avid Twins fan. She loved to share her baked goods with friends and relatives. At Christmas time she would bake and deliver coffee cakes to many. Together with Russell, Bernie was an avid bridge player.
Bernie is survived by her husband, Russell of Albert Lea, MN; children, Marie and her husband, Bruce Andersen of Council Bluffs, IA, Margo and her husband, Richard Paschke of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Joanne and her husband, Bill Foreman of Duluth, MN, Julie and her husband,Steve Weidner of Richfield, MN, and Dan Paczkowski of Glenville, MN.
Grandchildren: Jennifer (Orlando) Zabala, McClain Smouse, Anne Sheehan and her fiancAsh, Matthew Dickson, Matthew Sheehan, Heather Weidner, Therese and Claire Paczkowski.
One brother, Howard Ringham of Northwood, IA; sister, Katherine (Noona) Barnick of Albert Lea, MN. Brother-in-law Connie Woullard of Odessa, TX, and other brothers and sisters-in-law; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Bernie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Sanford Ringham and Chris Ringham Jr.; and one sister, Esther Woullard, brother-in-law Robert Barnick.
