Beatrice Stensrude

Funeral services for Beatrice Harriet (Christenson) Stensrude will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, May 15, 2015 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea. The Reverend John Holt will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will take place at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Mills. Bonnerup Funeral Service is assisting the family.
Beatrice was born on June 20, 1925, in Freeborn County, the daughter of Thomas and Anna (Tufte) Christenson. She grew up in Albert Lea and attended Albert Lea Schools.
On December 4, 1943 she was united in marriage with Alfred B Stensrude in Owatonna and spent their lives together in Lake Mills Iowa and Albert Lea MN.
Beatrice worked at the Albert Lea Country Club and Land-O- Lakes. She enjoyed baking, playing cards, winning at the game of farkel and most of all spending time with family and friends.
Beatrice died May 12, 2015. Beatrice will be greatly missed by her family; sons, Thomas (Jeanne) Stensrude, Madison Lake Minnesota, John (Karen) Stensrude, San Antonio, TX, Gene Stensrude, Lake Mills Iowa; daughters, Linda Rolands, Lake Mills Iowa, Patricia Kouba, Phoenix, AZ, Julie (Paul) Tlamka Albert Lea, Mary ( Art Hughes) Gold Albert Lea; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Alfred in 1996, brother: Earl Christenson, sisters: Marion Carpenter, Jennie Aase, Dorothy Hall, Ruth Fretheim, Ruby Carpenter, and Florence Goldman.
Memorials are suggested to St. John's Lutheran Home, Peace and Power, or Mayo Clinic Health System-Albert Lea, Hospice.
