Barbara Kay Jenson

Barbara Kay Jenson of New Richland, 80, passed away December 27, 2022, at the New Richland Care Center with her family by her side.

Barbara was born May 16, 1942, in Waseca County to George and Sadie (Palm) Jenson and raised with her brothers and sisters in Sherwood, ND.

Barbara enjoyed her days walking about town, rain or shine, to visit her many friends, volunteering her time at SEMCAC and the laundry mat, helping customers to wash and fold their laundry while keeping the place clean and tidy. She also enjoyed cooking and baking; skills that she learned from spending time with her mother growing up.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Charlotte Holland and Janet Loken; one brother, John Jenson and his wife Pat.

Barbara is survived by her sisters Joyce (Roger) Larson, Corine Jenson, and Marion (James) Motz; brothers Dean and Leonard (Joyce) Jenson; two brothers in law Don Loken and Roger Holland; and many nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at First Lutheran Cemetery in Ellendale. The family will receive friends at a reception to be held immediately following the burial at 1:30PM, hosted by the First Lutheran Church in Ellendale.
