Funeral Service for Arthur ?Ole? Henry Johnson of rural Ellendale, MN will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2005 at Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale, MN. Pastor Gary Rusinko will officiate. Interment will be in the Danish Cemetery, Lemond Township, MN. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Friday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Ellendale, MN.
Arthur died Thursday, December 1, 2005 in rural Ellendale, MN. He was 76 years old.
Arthur was born in rural Steele Co. on December 30, 1928, the son of Arthur T. and Jurgina (Strenge) Johnson. He was a resident of Ellendale area all of his life. Arthur
was married to Violet Gaul on August 11, 1957. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Ellendale and former member of First Lutheran Church, Ellendale.
Arthur worked for the Rock Island & Chicago & Northwestern Railroad and had been a dairy farmer in rural Ellendale. He served his country in the US Army from 1951 ? 1953.
Arthur enjoyed spending as much time with the grandchildren as he could.
Arthur is survived by his children: Peggy Lynn Stencel of Owatonna, MN, Arthur H. Johnson Jr. of Faribault, MN, Mike G. Johnson and wife, Val of Ellendale,MN; 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren: sister: Lorraine Veblen of Kenyon, MN; brothers: Gerald Johnson of Ellendale, MN, Don Johnson of Owatonna, MN; cousin: Woodrow Johnson of Ellendale, MN.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Violet and 2 sisters.
