Arnoldo Acevedo-Pina, 67, of Albert Lea, Minnesota, died Saturday, July 15, 2017 in Austin, Minnesota.
He was born January 5, 1950 in Santiago, Cuba, coming to the U.S. in 1980. After working for a time in New York, he moved to Minnesota in 1993. He lived in Minneapolis until 2002, when he moved to Albert Lea. Mr Acevedo-Pina was a retired factory worker. He found the love of his life, Shirley Deepsong, his life partner, at a dance in Minneapolis. He loved to dance, loved Cuban music and American rock and roll. Everyone who met him loved him for his friendship, his spiritual nature, and his gentle heart.
Survivors include Shirley and several family members who reside in Cuba. He was preceded in death by his brother, Juan Blanco.
Services for Mr. Acevedo-Pina will be held at a later date.
