, will be held at 1:30 PM Wednesday, May 5, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Albert Lea. Pastor Clayton Balsley will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in
Graceland
Cemetery
. Military honors will be accorded by the Albert Lea Area Veterans Groups.
Arlan died Monday morning, May 3, 2010 at the

Medical
Center
. He was 80 years of age.
Arlan was born July 25, 1929 in

, the son of Stanley and Myrtle (Fredrickson) Anderson. He attended public school in
Forest
City
. On November 17, 1950 he was united in marriage to Faye Reim at the
Methodist
Church
in Albert Lea. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 until 1953 stationed in
Germany
.
Arlan had been employed by the Wilson Company and after retirement worked at the Green Lea Golf Course mowing the course. He was a member of the
First
Baptist
Church
, the V.F.W., the American Legion and the Moose Club. In his free time, Arlan enjoyed camping and bowling.
Arlan is survived by his wife Faye of Albert Lea, MN, children: Patti (Chet) Danbon of Fallen, NV, Peggy (Mike) Squires of Albert Lea, MN, Nancy (John Gladve) Newman of Albert Lea, MN, Keli (Jim) Larson of Austin, MN. Grandchildren include:
Chad
Squires, Todd Toenges, Cally Toenges, Adam Newman, Jordan Johnson and Zach Johnson. Great grandchildren include: Jewel and Jenna Toenges, Ty and Piper Ann Toenges, Tori and Stephen Squires and Sydney Newman. There are two sisters surviving: Mavis (Dick) Bryson of Albert Lea, MN, and Shirley Peterson of

. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law Stan Peterson and mother in law Mildred Radke.
