The Funeral Service for Alice A. Feuerhelm of Albert Lea will be held at 10:00 A.M Friday, February 20, 2015, at St. Theodore's Catholic Church in Albert Lea. The Reverend Timothy T. Reker and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea, and one hour prior to service at the church. Interment will be in St. Theodore's Cemetery. Alice died on Monday, Febuary 16, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, MN, at the age of 85. Alice was born August 25, 1929, the daughter of Joseph J. and Agnes (Cegla) Sonnek in Wells, MN. She graduated from Wells High School and then moved to Albert Lea where she worked at Wilson & Co. and where she met Wayne H. Feuerhelm. They married on November 8, 1952 and resided in Albert Lea where she raised her family. She worked at Thorne Crest Retirement Center for 17 years. She was a member of St. Theodore's Catholic Church, CCW, Eagles Auxiliary, the Albert Lea Trades and Labor Retirees Club and was a volunteer at Thorne Crest Retirement Center and St. Theodore's Catholic Church Loaves and Fishes. Alice is survived by a son David, Cary, IL, daughters Connie (Denis) Fink, DePere, WI, Lori Sorensen, Peoria, AZ, Jill (Mike) Westney, Albert Lea, MN and Judy (Rick) Indrelie, Rochester, MN. Grandchildren, Rachel and Trey Feuerhelm, Cary IL, Taylor Vigeland, Arlington, VA, Chad Vigeland, De Pere, WI, Logan Fink, De Pere, WI, Justin Sorensen, Peoria, AZ, Whitney (Sorensen) Katzenbach and husband Jeff, Japan, Hayley Westney, Albert Lea, MN, Kelsey (Westney) Eide and husband Nicholas, Hollandale, MN, Jace Indrelie, Ankeny, IA and Alisse Indrelie, Vadnais Heights, MN. Great grandchildren, Kaylyn, Braiden and Tayven Eide, Hollandale, MN, sister Olive Hefner of Albert Lea, MN, brother George (Pat) Sonnek, Wells, MN, sister's-in-law: Vicky Sonnek of Wells, MN, Bernice Sonnek of Wells, MN, LaVonne Kuchera of Albert Lea, MN, Marion Sonnek of Wells, MN, brother-in-law Ralph Huxford of Waseca, MN and several nieces and nephews. Alice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wayne, 4 brothers, Ralph, Jerome, Joseph, and Donald and 2 sisters, Marian Thompson and Elaine Huxford, brother's-in-law Leo Hefner and Larry Thompson, sister-in-law Myrtle Sonnek. Alice loved her family. She enjoyed volunteering at the church and nursing home. She loved to garden, enjoyed coffee with friends and spending time with her kids and grandkids. Her best friend, Gerry Gilbertson shared in all of her life experiences and she loved her as a sister. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend and will be sadly missed by all.
