Alfredo Godines passed away peacefully in his lake house in Albert Lea, Minnesota on October 5, 2024.
Alfredo, 80, was born on August 7, 1944 to Frank and Juanita Godines in San Antonio, Texas.
After graduating from Lincoln High School in San Diego, California he dedicated 24 years of service in the Navy. He proudly ended his career as a BT Chief Petty Officer in 1991.
In 1965 he met the love of his life, Manuelita, in Albert Lea, Minnesota and then married the same year in Northwood, Iowa on New Years Eve.
Alfredo and Manuelita went on to have three children he loved dearly: Fred, Betty, and Mary. They were also blessed with six grandchildren: Desiree, Stephen, Lizette, Alfred, Dylan, and Nicolette, and five beautiful great-grandchildren: Lilly, Danny, Sienna, Maya, and Serena.
Alfredo's favorite things to do were to work on cars, listen to oldies, make all of us laugh with his dad jokes, dance with Manuelita, follow her on many years of adventures and serving as a board member of the USS Prichett Reunion committee.
Alfredo was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Juanita, as well as his sister, Francis. He is survived by his wife, Manuelita; brothers, Luis and Chico; and sisters, Olivia and Susie.
Alfredo, loved by many, will always be in our hearts.
