Obituary for Agnes H. Hartz



The funeral service for Agnes H. Hartz will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at First Lutheran Church, Albert Lea, MN. The Reverend Reggie Klindworth will officiate. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service and one hour before the service at the church.



Agnes died on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at St. John?s Lutheran Home, Albert Lea. She was 91 years old.



Agnes was born in Freeborn County, MN on September 21, 1914, the daughter of John and Caroline (Hallum) Ausen. She grew up on a farm in the Manchester area and lived her entire life in Freeborn County. She was a graduate of Freeborn High School.



On October 15, 1939 she was united in marriage with Lyth Hartz. They were members of First Lutheran Church where Agnes had been active in the church circles and the quilters.



Agnes had worked at Hill?s Gardens for many years. She had been a member of home extension and couples club. She had a great sense of humor, loved bird watching, enjoyed working crossword puzzles, scrabble, and was an avid Minnesota Twins fan. She loved to cook and feed her family. She especially treasured time spent with her family and grandchildren.



Agnes is survived by two children: Lyth (Mary) Hartz of St. Paul, MN, Becky (Tom Larson) Boelter of Albert Lea, MN; three grandchildren: Jennifer (Chuck) Rhiner of Twin Lakes, MN, Tony Boelter of Venice Beach, CA, Eric Hartz of St. Paul, MN; two sisters: Ruth Solheid of St. Paul, MN, Lillian Young of New Richland, MN; three brothers: Carroll (Margret) Aasen of Albert Lea, MN, Oscar (Lavonne) Ausen of Hartland, MN, Paul (Lois) Aasen of Rice Lake, WI; brother-in-law, Russell Wangen of Manchester, MN; nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lyth in 1999; two brothers: Eric (Viola) Ausen, Edgar (Doris) Ausen; sister, Olive (Al) Nordeen, Inga (Arvil) Olson; two sisters-in-law: Viola Wangen, Pearl (John B.) Johnson; brother-in-law, Meyer Hartz.
