Doris McNabb

Doris Mildred McNabb (née  Siegle) age 85, passed away Friday March 2, 2018 surrounded by family. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 215 West Second Street, Chaska, MN. Visitation one hour before. Father Bill Deziel will officiate. Private burial service to take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery the following day, March 16, 2018.

Doris Mildred Siegle was born on September 29, 1932, the 2nd of 10 children born to Hilary & Germaine (Morbacher) Siegle in Dahlgren Twp, MN. Graduating from Chaska High School in 1950, Doris pursued a career in clerical work in Mpls. On August 15, 1953, Doris was united in marriage to Alvin Johnson. From this union, Doris gave birth to five children: Mark, Sharon, Patricia, Brian, & Kristi.

During her lifetime Doris experienced tragedy & heartbreak, first with the passing of her husband Alvin in 1974, followed by the passing of her son Brian in 1975. From heartache sprang new love & new family, first with Joseph Essig (1915-1996) in 1978 & then with Arthur McNabb (1936-2017) in 2004.

Doris loved to travel; going on many cruises & seeing many different states & countries around the world. Doris was a devout Catholic her entire life & never ceased to remain strong in her faith. Aside from church, Doris volunteered much of her time at various senior communities & enjoyed singing with the Golden Tones Chorus. Throughout her life Doris remained cheerful & classy; leaving those closest to her with wonderful memories as a mother, grandmother, sister & friend. Remembered for her love, kindness & gentleness she shared with those closest to her, Doris was truly a favorite to all & has provided this earth with a great heritage.

Those left to carry on her legacy include her children; Dr Mark (Joan) Johnson, Sharon (Alvin) Wagner, Patricia Johnson & Kristi Stark; grandchildren; Andrew, Brian, Craig, Sara, Emily, Jacob, Molly, Luke, Adeline, Elizabeth, Seth, Jedidiah, Paula, Justin, Joshua, & Wyatt; 20 great-grandchildren; siblings; Leon, Glen, Lucy, Tom, Stan, & Dale; as well as many other loving relatives and friends. Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; Al, Joe & Art; her son Brian, siblings; Kenny, Ronny & Dennis.
